Bring your creative inspiration to reality in this interactive project workshop focusing on decorative cup-making. With expert instructor Nicholai Busch and access to nearly all the products in the DiamondCore Tools catalog, your options for designing decorative cups are nearly limitless.
This event is intended for intermediate ceramic artists with a basic understanding of wheel-throwing and pottery tools. It includes two Friday sessions of guided instruction, as well as solo work time for finishing and glazing. Limited to six participants, the workshop is an invaluable opportunity to ask individual questions. It's expected that participants will be able to throw at least 6 pieces during the first session.
Clay, firing and a choice of carving, trimming and extruding tools are included FREE in the cost (with a 15% discount available on additional tool purchases). Once completed, your cups will be fired on site and available for pick-up within a week. We’ll be just as excited as you to see the finished designs.
Take home your newly created cups as well as new skills and products for your next inspiration in this workshop specifically designed by and for DiamondCore Tools!
NOTE: At this time, we cannot accommodate attendees’ children, pets or other non-registered guests during workshop activities in the DiamondCore studio space.
In the studio we recommend closed-toe shoes and clothing that allows for freedom of movement. Take care to avoid items such as loose jewelry, scarves, drawstrings or other accessories that may become tangled in a pottery wheel. Bring your own studio apron or use one of our loaners to help protect fabrics from splashes and spills.
