We’re changing the world of ceramic arts again with another way to make your work process easier: DiamondCore Tools’ Mini Cink.

Starting with the idea of our Cink — a stand-alone, clay-water recycling system — we’ve distilled its function to the essence of what you need to keep your pottery workspace and tools clean without clogging your plumbing. The Mini Cink needs no electricity or water connection to circulate water for cleaning. Simply wash and rinse your hands, tools and other equipment in the stainless-steel basin and with water pumped from a bucket through the faucet by a manual foot pedal.

What really sets the Mini Cink apart from the original Cink is the Mini’s portability. The entire Mini Cink is a cinch to roll and compact enough to position next to a pottery wheel, where cleaning and storage can be within easy reach. Its smaller footprint — and price-point — make it a great alternative for individual artists or an option for collective spaces that want multiple cleanup stations.

Great overall, needs a couple minor changes

I’ve had the mini cink for about 2 weeks now and have already used it a lot! This is a perfect wash station set up for my home studio. The assembly was so simple and easy. It was delivered in two boxes so it wasn’t too heavy to carry inside. It took me 30 from when I brought it into my studio to when I was already filling it up and using it.
Being a first of kind, a few changes might be needed for future renditions tho. First one would be that the screw in components for the clay trap in the bottom of the sink is 3D printed so it’s not as sturdy as a metal or pvc component. So I can already see some wear on the threads. I hope diamond core offers replacement pieces on their website for it as I do see it needing replacement. The second thing I would change would be the hose for the foot pedal, how it’s set up it has to come out from the back side of the sink. This puts it into close contact with the drain pipe from the sink. I’ve noticed a few times that as I drain the sink if I’m not careful and check it’s not touching the water will run down from the drain pipe onto the floor following the pedal pump hose. This would be fixed by extending the length of the drain pipe so it’s closer to the top of the bucket, or by creating a slot on the side of the sink that can hold the hose in place away from the drain pipe area.
