But the extra-long edge gives you more control to shape and refine your vessel. The tapered side on this extra long version is without an angle so it can be used to compress or flatten the base within a tall piece. 

The size still sits comfortably between your thumb and fingers, while the novel diamond-grid design makes it easy to hold from any angle.
