Spring is in full bloom, and so is the creativity of our artist community! As the days grow longer and the studio sunbeams get warmer, artists around the globe have been busy transforming clay into stunning works of art using DiamondCore pottery tools. From delicate textures to bold, sculptural pieces, the designs of this month’s Core Creators are bursting with fresh inspiration and clever techniques.
Here’s what our incredible community of artists has been creating with DiamondCore Tools this month:
Nothing says spring quite like beautiful flowers and a lovely vase to put them in. Check out this amazing vase from Clay by Renee Designs (@claybyreneedesigns). We love this nature-inspired green crackle glaze and simple design so much. This vase will be the perfect accent for any table all spring and summer long!
We always love seeing the incredible detail Claire (@wobblytreepottery) puts into each of her sgraffito animal designs. How cool are these?! We couldn’t possibly pick a favorite from this amazing mug compilation. Thanks for sharing and using DiamondCore Tools, Claire!
Bat skeleton mugs? Say less! These turned out great, Brooke (@brookside_pottery). The carving really pops against the black underglaze. Whoever scored this mug at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire is one lucky lord or lady!
With blue skies, blooming flowers, and flowing waters, this gorgeous mug set just screams spring. We can’t get over the details and bold colors. Thanks for sharing your amazing work, Julie (@julieannceramics). Keep it up!
You can’t go wrong with fun geometric shapes — and this set of pots is proof of that. They seem simple, yet you can’t help but continue to stare at them. With the light and dark contrast, this set from Kate Budorick (@_budvase) is absolute perfection. Keep up the good work, Kate!
We second what Linda (@twowishstudio) said and also recommend carving some flowers on your pots, especially during the sunny spring season. These vases turned out so cute! Made with our FP3 Fine Point U Tip 3 mm dia. X 1 mm Carving Tool! Thanks for sharing, Linda!
Wow! Check out the detailed carving work on this piece. The transformation with the glaze is incredible too. Amazing pottery work from Sycamore Hollow Farm (@sycamorehollowfarm).
Watch Tatjana (@mermudstudio) bring this mug to life using the K1 Curved V Tip Clay Carver from DiamondCore. The bold lines really stand out — and the quippy saying definitely gave us a chuckle. This is the perfect mug for Monday mornings or that midday meeting that could’ve been an email. Keep creating and sharing with us, Tatjana!
The carving and glaze color really stand out with these vases from Asmani Ceramics (@asmani.ceramics). These designs were brought to life with our P8V Curved V Tip Palm Carver, P11XW Curved Extra-Wide V Tip 18 mm Carving Tool, and P11 Curved Wide V Tip 12 mm Carving Tool. That beautiful blue-green color will surely pop with some flowers in there.
More beautiful floral vases?! Yes, please. We can’t get enough! Carved with our FP1 Fine Point U Tip 1 mm X 1 mm Carving Tool, these crisp lines and detail work really stand out on this mishima vase. Unique, elegant, and the perfect centerpiece for any table. Beautiful job, Julie (@julieannceramics)
This bowl totally “slithered” its way into our hearts. (See what we did there?!) It’s so satisfying to watch the snake come to life with our FP3 Fine Point U Tip 3 mm dia. X 1 mm Carving Tool. This video makes it look easy, but we know how much work goes into all that carving. Great work, Abigale (@vervain.artworks).
This little guy makes us want to head out for a sunny beach day! We can tell that so much time and detail went into this adorable turtle mug. Thanks for showing off our FP1 Fine Point U Tip 1 mm X 1 mm Carving Tool, Ana (@analealpottery). Keep it up!
