Love this new tool. Great for fine lines and sgrafitto.

This is a great tool when you start using it! Super fine, great clean lines, picks up clay well. Really allows me to carve faster. But it snapped after one month of use, about 100 partially carved mugs. I only ever used it on leather hard clay. Given that I’ve used the same $6 Kemper wire loop tool for an entire year, this wasn’t worth the money. Great carving results but just a high cost for how little it lasted.
We're sorry to hear you had an issue with this fine-point carving tool blade. While these tools have a thin blade (which is why they come with a free extra blade), it should last longer than the 100 leather-hard mugs you mentioned.
