I put off purchasing some DiamondCore tools, mostly because of the price. Truly I wanted them badly, so when a sale was advertised, I took the opportunity to purchase the 3-piece Starter Carving Set and the Fine Point 3piece set. I wished I had done so a long time ago. That old saying….”you get what you pay for” couldn’t be more accurate! My tool box has a mish-mosh of instruments and tools that I have used, but now I feel professional. The detailed work I can do with accuracy and repeating the process using all the tools is remarkable. The turtle I made is actually a night light for my favorite grandson. It still needs a top wash glaze but the the underglaze really brings out the details of tools.

I purchased the fine line set and can't believe the smooth carve quality. I've used other clay carving tools for my encaustics, but these are game-changers. The FP1 and FP4 are amazing. The FP0 is not working for me, though. It immediately gets jammed with wax. Maybe it would work fine with clay. But the other two are amazing. Great quality.

I hesitated to purchase these because I thought they were expensive. I was wrong. They are of such good quality that they have enabled me to do extremely fine lines that are well-defined. This has taken my carving to a whole new level. I LOVE these! Buy them. You deserve to have good quality tools.
