DiamondCore® Tools Core Creators - January 2025
Editor’s note: We love seeing all the amazing things people create using DiamondCore® Tools. Your work inspires us — and we think it’ll inspire others, too! That’s why we started this blog series called Core Creators. We highlight stunning ceramic projects and designs created using our pottery tools that caught our eye on social media and beyond. If you’d like us to feature your work, comment below or follow and tag @diamondcoretools on Instagram and Facebook!
We’re kicking off 2025 with fantastic new creations and unique ways artists like you have been using DiamondCore® Tools to elevate your ceramic art. From floral carvings and delicate sgraffito work to unique shapes, we’ve seen it all and are beyond impressed! Cheers to a new year filled with stunning new ceramic designs and maybe even some new tools. 👀💎
Let’s jump into a year of fantastic creations!
THrō Ceramics LLC (@throceramics) is helping us kick off the new year in style! They used a variety of DiamondCore® trimming tools — including the T2 Arc Pottery Trimming Tool, T302 Square Feature Trimming Tool, T1 Half Dome Pottery Trimming Tool, and T10 Volcano Shape Pottery Trimming Tool — to smooth the sides and perfect the shape of this gorgeous ceramic teapot. Congrats to the lucky winner who received this piece to kick off 2025.
Now this is the glazing prep we like to see! Cara (@trelowenpottery) uses our Flexible Diamond Sanding Pads to ensure that all bottoms on her ceramic pieces are smooth. We’re happy to see water being used in this process to extend the life of the pads and reduce clay dust. Keep up the great work!
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves, Daria (@kaleido_pottery). Our stainless-steel blades are designed to resist rust and dulling, allowing you to cut through clay like butter. It looks like our P2 Curved U Tip 6 mm Carving Tool helped you do just that. We love the video you put together as you created this piece. The extra time you spent on it paid off!
It’s all in the details. Calvin (@calvinmasculpts) doesn’t play around when adding textures and patterns to this sculpted piece. It’s so cool to see how our FP4 Fine Point Javelin Carving Tool and L2 Diamond Sgraffito Stylus Tool helped create these designs. Keep up the great work!
How cute are these? Nat (@pottery_nat) is easing back into the studio with stunning new creations and intricate details. We love seeing artists come together to discuss their plans and how they’re kicking off the new year in the studio.
As Nicole (@well.traveled.wares) noted, experimenting in the pottery studio is truly priceless. Nicole, the life and details you brought to this mug are stunning. We’re happy to see that our L1 Diamond Sgraffito Stylus Tool and P17 Straight U Tip 3 mm Carving Tool helped you create this gorgeous piece.
Lemonade, anyone? Stephanie (@stephanie.ceramics) is making us crave freshly picked lemons and warm weather with this new mug. She uses our FP0 Super Fine Point V Tip Carving Tool and FP1 Fine Point U Tip 1 mm X 1 mm Carving Tool to vary the thickness of lines and details throughout the mug. Thank you for sharing this detailed video on your artistic process.
We look forward to seeing what you create throughout the year.
Austin (@austinruizgarciaceramics) is showing off these freshly carved bowls, and rightfully so! The glaze details and simple carving would look stunning in any home this year and beyond — especially since they pair well with the minimalist and nature-inspired 2025 pottery trends artists love! Continue sharing your designs with our team.
Don’t forget to tag @diamondcoretools on Instagram and Facebook for the chance to be featured in next month’s Core Creators spotlight.
