DiamondCore® Tools Core Creators - March 2024

Editor’s note: We love seeing all the amazing things people create using DiamondCore® Tools. Your work inspires us — and we think it’ll inspire others, too! That’s why we started this blog series called Core Creators. We highlight stunning ceramic projects and designs created using our pottery tools that caught our eye on social media and beyond. If you’d like us to feature your work, comment below or follow and tag @diamondcoretools on Instagram and Facebook

Spring is around the corner, and we’ve noticed how your clay projects are grabbing inspiration from the changing season. We’ve seen floral carvings, light earth-tone glazes, and gorgeous pastels that have made stunning works of art around the globe.

With help from DiamondCore® Tools, you’ve continued to push your limits in the studio, and we’re honored to have you as part of the DiamondCore® community. Let’s dive into some of our favorite March creations!

Our team loves how Angelique (@angeliqueceramics) uses our L2 Diamond Sgraffito Stylus Tool, P1 Curved V Tip Carving Tool, and P18 Straight U Tip 6mm Carving Tool to add stunning details to this carved plate. Thank you to @claywithoutborders for sharing!

How cool are these whiskey glasses?! Zach (@zachsteinstudios) uses our Flexible Diamond Sanding Pads to get a perfectly smooth surface on the sides and bottoms of each cup. Keep up the great work!

And how cute are these?! We love how Beth (@bethhardenceramics) traces and carves each fox and tree on this stunning mug order. Our team is so glad that our P8V Curved V Tip Palm Carver helped you accomplish each carving with crisp lines and detailing.

We love how these glazed bowls turned out! The earthy tones are perfect for spring! Keep up the great work, Stephanie (@libelle_handmade_pottery), and continue sharing your creations with us.

Check out these super cute floral mugs. Our team loves to carve underglaze as much as Rachel (@rad_pottery) — and nothing says spring quite like some blooming flowers. We can’t wait to see your next sgraffito project!

The pottery community is amazing, and we continue to see that with each Instagram post that we’re tagged in. It’s so cool to see Jasmine (@jasfitz) sharing the step-by-step process of how she created these lidded jars. Jasmine used our FP1 Fine Point U Tip 1mm X 1mm Carving Tool to add intricate details to each jar.

We’re obsessed with the crackle glaze and the intricate details on this carved moth container from @art.of.kar. Thank you for sharing your work with DiamondCore® Tools!

This woodfired fluted bowl is leaving us speechless. Excellent work, Alex (@alex.olson.arts)! We love seeing the sun hit those buttery smooth surfaces, thanks to the help of DiamondCore® Sanding Pads and Flexible Sandpaper

Artists can accomplish so much and test new techniques with DiamondCore® Fluting Tools. It’s amazing to see how Dustin (@dustinmarkjohnston) uses our X1 12mm Fluting Tool to create gorgeous details on this tall urn.

Check out this sink that Nicole (@well.traveled.wares) and Mariana (@marianasampaiostudio) have been working on in Portugal. Seeing our P12 Straight V Tip Carving Tool assisting you through these carvings is so fun. Our team wishes you the best of luck as you try a new clay body to create a new sink.

Hannah from @sumfunctionceramics has the most stunning pottery studio! Creating pottery definitely takes a lot of getting into the zone and retrying techniques. Continue to push yourself and take each step of the pottery-making process in stride.
